Mori Seiki VERTICAL MACHINING CENTER Controller: MSC 518/FANUC 18M Spindle Speed 8,000 RPM X-Travel: 22 in Y-Travel: 16 in Z-Travel: 18 in Table Width: 17.7 in Table Length: 35 in. I haven't gone over the axis mechanically. The crash appears to have been caused by a loose sensor flag on the up position of the arm allowing the arm to travel too high and contact the clamp release cam (ramp) when it rotated to pick up the tools. I don't know what these parameter values mean, if anyone has a parameter list that they could forward me just so I know what the values mean that would be great. I have a MV-45/40 with the Fanuc 6MB control, hydraulic tool changer. I now know that this is a bit of a problem, but the machine has been used with the parameters that are in it for years before I bought it, but this doesn't mean that the backlash problem didn't exist it was just that it wasn't a big enough problem for the previous owner to worry about. I don't have the original parameter list. I have rechecked the backlash and it ideally needs. Please help if you can Best Regards, mek machie to MDI 'M31 'inset M35 insert START, sty pushing '+X'. 001mm is made and this happens regardless of using the hand wheel or MDI. What's happening in the video is when there is a value (even with a value of 1) other than zero in the backlash compensation I get a jump of.
